What Other Surveys Say
Legit.ng reported on 3 October that 36 commodities recorded price declines in September, against 27 in August, and listed sweet potatoes, pepper and rice among ten items that had become cheaper. Its rice figures drew in part on Foodprices.ng prices. On rice bags, Legit.ng reported on 29 September that imported long-grain rice had fallen from ₦70,000 per 50kg in January to ₦55,000 in September, a 21.4% decline. Both reports agree with the direction of this week's Lagos figures.
